POSITION DESCRIPTION: Summer Program Administrator (Stipend)
I. General Description:
The goal of the Summer Program Administrator is to ensure a successful summer program for Summer School students and Summer Success students.
Terms of Employment: Summer School Stipend for Designated Summer School Dates
1. A minimum of five years successful 7-12 classroom teaching experience 2. Minimum of bachelor's degree from accredited university 3. Valid AZ Principal Certification 4. Masters degree in Educational Leadership preferred 5. Exceptional professional role model 6. Recognized as an exemplary classroom teacher by supervisors and fellow teachers 7. Skilled in interpersonal and communication skills 8. Possess strong literacy and numeric skills 9. Possess computer skills (e.g., email and internet) 10. Experienced in the effective instruction of adult learners
III. Duties/Performance Responsibilities:
1. Attend training. 2. Organize and facilitate student registration at each school. 3. Work closely with guidance departments to identify students who need to enroll in summer programs. 4. Devise, implement and maintain procedures for the procurement of student grades, attendance and completion records. 5. Communicate student progress to parents. 6. Work closely with site administrators regarding any and all student discipline issues that arise in the classrooms. 7. Communicate with District Office regarding student registration and course progress. 8. Perform other duties as assigned.
