    Position Description: Paraprofessional I– CTE
    Work Calendar: 10-month (195 Days)
    Hours per Day: 7

    I. General Description:

    To assist with supervision, clerical and other responsibilities in the classroom, animal lab, land lab, and with FFA.

    II. Qualifications:
    1. Associate of Arts degree or paraprofessional certification required.
    2. Must possess knowledge and experience in agriculture (animal/plant science, crop production, etc.)
    3. Must possess knowledge of FFA and enthusiasm for assisting with FFA activities.
    4. Must possess basic computer and clerical skills.
    5. Must have positive attitude towards students, teachers, staff, and parents.
    6. Prior experience working with high school students desired.
    7. Must be able to push, pull, or lift weights of up to 30 pounds.
    8. Must be proficient in the use of the English language, both verbal and written.

    III. Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
    2. Assists with learning activities within the classroom, animal lab, and land lab.
    3. Assists with the testing of students.
    4. Assists with classroom, animal lab, and land lab projects.
    5. Types and reproduces classroom materials.
    6. Assists with clerical duties involving the FFA (rosters, computer assistance to students working with SAE records, etc.).
    7. Assists with inventory and accounting procedures of classroom, animal lab, and land lab equipment.
    8. Assists students and teachers in preparation for fairs, as well as local, state and national competitions.
    9. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues.
    10. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community.
    11. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner.
    12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    IV. Status:

    FLSA – Non-Exempt
