    JOB DESCRIPTION – Classified Manager

    TITLE: Maintenance and Project Manager FTE: 1.0

    FLSA STATUS: Exempt HOURS PER DAY: 8

    COMPENSATION: Administrative Compensation Guide (Starting Salary $73,564)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Oversee the operations and development of the department including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, and conducting regular assessments of procedures

    2. Performs personnel administrative functions (e.g. hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, setting workload etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel, and ensuring department/program outcomes are achieved

    3. Assists and supports the administrator of facilities and safety with all facilities, maintenance and project

    4. Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relations with vendors, administration, subordinates and staff

    5. Manage site/district State and Facilities Board projects, relocations, maintenance inquiries and concerns; adhere to budget and timelines

    6. Oversees the management of all scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of facilities

    7. Oversee the development of a preventative maintenance plan

    8. Manage district-wide life safety inspections; maintenance of records and annual permits with city, county and state to meet mandated requirements

    9. Maintain detailed incident reports for District records and police follow-up

    10. Assist with budget reviews, safety regulations, facilities repair, improvement and new build projects

    11. Assist with Bond-related meetings and projects

    12. Coordinate facilities concerns of District Office tenants – primary point of contact.

    13. Maintain proficiency in, use of, and provide training where required for systems programs: School Dude; Web Control and IView; Velocity and C Cure; Control Point and Avigilon.

    14. Maintain district Facilities staff time records and absences through Frontline

    15. Maintain and order supplies, tools, and inventory required for the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds; assist with inventory usage

    16. Maintain Preventive Maintenance completion records; prepare reports for administration and the School Facilities Board

    17. Assist supervisors with corrective maintenance planning and parts procurement

    18. Schedule repairs or warranty work with outside contractors and vendors

    19. Compare vendor quotes to ensure best pricing for parts, materials, and work being done

    20. Coordinate and participate in safety trainings and various facilities and department meetings

    21. Attends various meetings as required by the District to remain current with compliance issues to provide adequate direction to staff

    22. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues

    23. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community

    24. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner

    25. Maintain punctual and regular attendance

    26. Perform other related duties as assigned



    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    Education / Certificate

    1. Associate degree in a related field required and/or three years of experience

    2. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

    Experience

    1. Minimum of three years’ experience in the field preferred. Other relevant experience may be considered

    2. Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes

    3. Strong supervisory and leadership skills

    4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Communication Skills

    1. Strong writing, literacy, and communication skills; uses effective communication strategies to interact with a variety of audiences

    2. Bilingual communication is beneficial

    Computer Skills

    1. Knowledge of Google Suites

    2. Proficient with payroll software

    3. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
