    JOB DESCRIPTION – Student Information Systems Technician

    TITLE: Student Information Systems Technician FTE: 1.0

    FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt HOURS PER DAY: 8 WORK CALENDAR: 261 days

    COMPENSATION: Classified Non Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting at $18.37/hour)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. To assist the Information Systems Manager, to oversee the AzEDS collection process for the district and to implement district wide programs for the collection and distribution of data.

    2. Responsible for state reporting and reconciliation of data.

    3. Assists in computer setup, maintenance and support of all student information systems.

    4. Utilizes data manipulation techniques and computer applications to provide aggregated data to administration.

    5. Assists in computer setup and implementation of new state and federal required applications.

    6. Provides support and information to the sites on AzEDS validation, submission and report reconciling

    7. Assists in the computer setup and implementation of new education programs within the district.

    8. Assists in the training of District SMS users.

    9. Provides support and information to the sites on AZSafe validation, submission, and report reconciling.

    10. Maintains confidentiality of student, staff, parent, school, employee, and District information.

    11. Perform other duties as assigned.

    12. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues

    13. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community

    14. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner

    15. Maintain punctual and regular attendance

    16. Perform other related duties as assigned

    Education / Certificate

    1. High school diploma or equivalent

    2.Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card



    Experience

    1. Three years clerical experience

    2. Knowledge of Student Management Systems

    3. Knowledge of AzEDS Business Rules and submission process



    Communication Skills

    1. Motivated and self-starter

    2. Professional and ethical

    3. Must possess the ability to work in cooperation with staff

    4. Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Computer Skills

    1. Exceptional Data entry skills
