    JOB DESCRIPTION – Network Technician I
    TITLE: Network Technician I FTE: 1.0
    WORK CALENDAR: 261 days
    COMPENSATION: Grade P ($21.64/hour)
    1. To provide Level II support for computers and networks. Installs and configures OS and application software on workstations. Manage warranty schedules, supplies and materials for repairs and replacements.
    2. Performs periodic maintenance, modifications, and repairs to computer systems and equipment.
    3. Installs and configures various operating systems, hardware and peripherals, and network operation systems.
    4. Performs service/repair analysis on computers and equipment.
    5. Orders, purchases and schedules parts and warranty repairs.
    6. Maintains and supports the technology inventory.
    7. Runs network cable and tests network equipment.
    8. Assists and provides on the job training for Network Assistants.
    9. Manages and efficiently completes assigned workload.
    10. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues
    11. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community
    12. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner
    13. Maintain punctual and regular attendance
    14. Perform other related duties as assigned

    Education / Certificate
    1. Must possess associate degree or equivalent technical training and A+ certification in Computer Technology.
    2. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

    1. Must have experience with inventory, scheduling and purchasing parts, as well as warranty work and supplies.
    Communication Skills
    1. Must possess ability to work and communicate with faculty and staff.
    Computer Skills
    1. Must have experience maintaining and repairing computer hardware and peripherals and running network cabling.
    2. Must have experience with hardware and software in a Windows network environment.
