  • JOB DESCRIPTION – Data Information Specialist

    TITLE:Data Information Specialist FTE:1.0

    FLSA STATUS:Non Exempt HOURS PER DAY:8

    WORK CALENDAR: 261 days

    COMPENSATION:Classified Non Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting at $19.45/hour)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. To manage and maintain the computer systems utilized for student data including attendance, grades, demographics, schedules and historical/transcript information.
    2. Inputs and maintains student level data.
    3. Compiles/creates reports and labels for various departments, site and district administrators, outside agencies and Testing Coordinators.
    4. Prints and prepares progress and grade reports for mailing.
    5. Inputs and makes adjustments to the Master Schedule as provided by site/district administrator.
    6. Provides support for Student Management Systems users.
    7. Prints and distributes student failure lists.
    8. Accesses ADE website for various school and student reports.
    9. Participates in registration and processes all enrollment and withdrawal student information data in a timely manner.
    10. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues
    11. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community
    12. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner
    13. Maintain punctual and regular attendance
    14. Perform other related duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications for this job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required

    Education / Certificate

    1.Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    2. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

    Experience

    1. Must have three years clerical experience and have good data entry skills

    2. Professional and ethical

    3. Motivated and self-starter

    4. Must be 21 years of age or older upon hire

    Communication Skill

    1. Must possess the ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, administrators, faculty, staff and general public.

    Computer Skills

    1.Must possess specialized training in computers and have a thorough knowledge of data processing, including a working knowledge of Student Management Systems
