    WORK CALENDAR: 261 days

    COMPENSATION: Classified Non Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting at $18.21/hour)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. This clerical job involves maintaining the official records of students in the school

    2. Establishes and maintains files for new students, evaluates, and maintains permanent records of all students, including subject grades, credits earned, test data, school activities, and honors

    3. Provides liaison coordination regarding records and data on students such as grade changes, grade point average changes, and credit corrections

    4. Evaluates all high school and grade school transcripts of incoming students and records in the computer system

    5. Responsible for withdrawals from the school, prepares necessary forms and reports, and may collect ID badges

    6. Mails transcripts and other documents of students transferring to other schools or entering colleges and universities

    7. Prepares worksheets and computes grade point average and class rank of students

    8. Types, conducts student interviews, and composes correspondence regarding transcripts, report cards, graduation requirements, and verification of student record information

    9. Processes transcripts for student college applications

    10. Compiles and prepares various statistical reports

    11. Completes appropriate student documents as required

    12. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues

    13. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community

    14. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner

    15. Maintain punctual and regular attendance

    16. Perform other related duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    Education / Certificate

    1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    2. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

    3. Must be 21 years of age or older upon hire

    Experience

    1. Must possess a minimum of three years of clerical experience, preferably including some statistical and clerical skills in a school setting



    Communication Skills

    1. Must possess an ability to deal with matters of confidentiality

    Computer Skills

    1. Must possess the ability to do arithmetic computations quickly and accurately

    2. Must possess thorough knowledge in the use of business machines and computers
