    POSITION DESCRIPTION: TOSA: International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator
    Certified School Based Support Staff Compensation Guide: $46,500 plus $12,000 TOSA Stipend
    I. General Description:

    The International Baccalaureate Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the International Baccalaureate program at Millennium High School. The Coordinator will attend trainings and facilitate staff development. The Coordinator will assist with the identification of potential IB teachers and provide mentoring to selected teachers. The Coordinator will assist with marketing the IB program in order to increase enrollment in and completion of the IB program of study. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with administration and guidance.

    II. Qualifications:
    1. A minimum of three years successful 7-12 classroom teaching experience
    2. Minimum of bachelor’s degree from accredited university; Master’s degree preferred.
    3. Valid DPS Fingerprint Card
    4. Valid AZ Department of Education Secondary Certification
    5. Exceptional professional role model
    6. Skilled in interpersonal and communication skills
    7. Possess strong literacy and numeric skills
    8. Possess computer skills (e.g., email and internet)
    9. Ability to provide a welcoming atmosphere to students, parents, teachers, community
    10. Ability to produce informational materials to successfully market and grow the IB program

    III. Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Be familiar with the mission, philosophy and structure of the IB diploma and certificate programs.
    2. Attend all orientation and level trainings.
    3. Assist in preparing application materials.
    4. Assist in identifying IB teachers.
    5. Coordinate IB teacher training and travel.
    6. Assist in preparing budgets to address materials, training and related costs.
    7. Mentor identified IB teachers.
    8. Communicate the mission, philosophy and structure to all stakeholders.
    9. Market the IB program and recruit IB students.
    10. Develop an admission process for incoming students.
    11. Interview accepted students and develop individual personalized academic plans.
    12. Meet with IB students on a regular basis throughout each school year.
    13. Schedule and supervise all IB testing.
    14. Support parents and conduct informational meetings.
    15. Prepare and maintain accurate records, data spreadsheets, materials and documents regarding the IB program and students in the IB program.
    16. Prepare informational materials and presentations for Governing Board reports and community updates.
    17. Collaborate with feeder districts regarding IB experiences and programs available for students.
    18. Collaborate with administration and counselors.
    19. Assist in planning for IB courses in the master schedule.
    20. Monitor IB course descriptions to ensure accuracy of course content in line with the IBO.
    21. Act as a liaison with IBO and school administration.
    22. Work closely with the Millennium Principal and the District Executive Director of Educational Services.
    23. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues.
    24. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community.
    25. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner.
    26. Attend meetings of the AZ IB Coordinators.
    27. Perform other related duties as assigned.
